China, with the biggest population in the world, is developing quickly especially the agricultural industry, among them, seaweed and marine resources technology is developing rapidly. On Jan.18, the 5th International Algal Nutrition Forum has been held in Beijing, China.

The 5th International Algal Nutrition Forum is hosted by China Seaweed Industry Association, and sponsored by Leili (Group) Company, one of the leading companies in seaweed crop nutrition science. The topic of this forum is “Sharing the Agricultural Value of Seaweed Biological Technology and Promoting the Global Agricultural Sustainable Development”. The forum was hosted by Mr. Chen Shengdou, Executive Vice-president of China Agro-technological Extension Association. Over 600 professional people from China and overseas attended this important forum.

Mrs. Tang Jie, the Vice-chairman of China Agro-technological Extension Association, Senior Engineer of Beijing Zhongguancun Innovation Demonstration, Vice-president and Managing Director of Beijing Leili (Group) Company, analyzed brown alga engineering development technique, shared application cases of Leili integrated nutrition set applied on the wheat, paddy and peanut and finally overviewed the prospect of brown alga engineering development technique.
The distributor from Slovakia introduced the integrated Leili alga solutions on open field crops in Slovakia. Slovakia suffered the heaviest drought in last 100 years . So they used Leili products on the wheat, barley, rapeseed and corn in large area. It not only reduced the pollution and residues, but also improved stress tolerance to drought and enlarged the roots system. As a result, the production of the rapeseed increased 15%/ha., the income added nearly 200 dollars per ha and other crops yield were also increased 7%-20%.
 
Mr.Wan Xuebing, specially hired expert of CCTV7 (Agricultural Channel) and technical manager of Beijing Leili (Group) Company gave a speech on focusing on the strawberry industry. Depending on the various application cases, he introduced successful cases of Leili integrated nutrition set applied on the global strawberry. The research and trail reports indicated that the strawberry, which treated seaweed fertilizers got high quality and quantity. The weight of single fruit increased 11.3% and the average sugar degree increased 1.9。. So, the application was highly commended. Mr.Ghee Kee Wong, Asia regional manager of Goemar Laboratory, introduced mechanism and functions of Vacciplant, the world first seaweed crop vaccant Vacciplant has been well applied to control virous disease in Europe. Leili 20th Anniversary celebration was held in the same day. During two decades of development, Leili laid the technical and productive foundations for new seaweed biological products. The marine biological high-tech products serve for both plant science and life science.
